Owra is founded by Joost Borry, a bio-engineer with a deep-rooted passion for plants, science, and holistic wellbeing. With degrees in Biotechnology, Applied Plant Sciences, and Natural Product Chemistry, Joost combines academic expertise with extensive knowledge of herbal medicine and traditional healing systems such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Driven by curiosity and integrity, he has developed innovative, eco-friendly extraction techniques and collaborated in university research on plant-based actives. His lifelong dedication to nature and science forms the foundation of Owra: skincare that is both deeply effective and profoundly respectful of the natural world.
